It was March 2020 and the world slowed to a crawl as we all made an effort to curtail the spread of Covid-19. These extreme changes to our daily lives put immense pressure on essential workers, who had to step up even more to keep life moving forward. During this unprecedented time essential workers had to endure unusual circumstances and extreme precautions that made typical work more complex and stressful. While Covid-19 was keeping us all apart, the Casper Mural Project wanted to inspire and remind our community for years to come that we’re Better Together.
The Better Together Mural contains the names of over 1,200 community members and essential workers. Essential workers are distinguished with a star, and cover the span of grocery store employees, health care workers, first responders, sanitation crews, and beyond.
The Casper Mural Project would like to thank all of our essential workers, our generous community, and our sponsors for making this mural a reality, and a positive token for the challenges we all endured during 2020.
